The winter weather in the Columbia River Gorge can be unpredictable and the weather at Crown Point even more so! The Vista House will not open if it is too windy or there is ice on the roads, and the determination whether to open will be made each Saturday and Sunday morning throughout the winter. You may call the Vista House directly at 503-695-2240 to see if it is open on any winter weekend day.

Please check this website for updates, or contact us at any time. The off-site administrative office is open year round: for more information call 503.695.2230, or email us at friends@vistahouse.com.

Our Mission: Our mission is to steward, preserve and protect the historic Vista House at Crown Point State Park by developing and enhancing interpretive and educational programs that foster a better understanding of Vista House, Oregon’s pioneers, the Historic Columbia River Highway and (Columbia River) Gorge.
